Fostering Diversity in Healthcare

Breaking Barriers

At Upward Transformations, we believe healthcare is enriched by diversity. Our non-profit foundation is passionately committed to breaking down barriers and empowering minorities and underserved communities to build rewarding careers in healthcare.

We provide specialized training that supports success in Nursing Assistant Certification in Nevada. Studies show that patient outcomes improve when people can connect with professionals who share similar backgrounds and experiences.

National statistics reveal a lack of diversity among Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). According to Zippia, 2024 statistics for the racial breakdown of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in the United States indicate that there is an opportunity for Upward Transformations to foster disparity within the healthcare workforce.

We aim to address this disparity and open doors for minorities and the underserved to access skilled healthcare jobs and serve their communities here in Nevada.

Why Nevada?

The state of Nevada emerges as a focal point, ranking as the 4th lowest in healthcare outcomes. This alarming statistic sheds light on the urgent need for transformative change in the Nevada healthcare landscape. By prioritizing and advancing diversity in healthcare, particularly within the Certified Nursing Assistant profession, we have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on improving healthcare outcomes in the state.
